Cute and fun, in a childish way. Decent quaility paper (suitable for markers), single-sided and non-perforated pages.

I love to color and I love sweary coloring books! This book is one of the newest ones in my collection and it is absolutely hilarious! The monsters are so cute and the words are so funny! There is a "swamp ass" page which had me in tears!!! The designs are not too intricate or complex so it won't take forever to do a page! Which is very nice when you want something quick and easy to color! If you're into the sweary coloring books I'd definitely recommend adding this to your collection!!

As an owner of many sweary books, this one is one of the most unique books I have. Each image is single sided, allowing for different mediums to be used without worrying about ruining images on the backside. I could not wait to get this book, and was not disappointed at all!!

There are a lot of sweary coloring books out right now, but none of them with cute monsters! This book is great because I can open it to any random page and crack up laughing. The word list includes some all-time favorites as well as new ones to enhance your vocabulary.

Very fun adult coloring book. The coloring did go quick though because it is not as detailed and many things to color vs. some other adult coloring books but overall fun.

This is hands down my favorite sweary book. I greatly appreciate that the design are not intricate or complex as it is very easy to use any medium without the worry of going outside the lines. The monsters are just as cute as can be and I cannot wait to see more work from Abby!!!!

This adult coloring book had cute pictures in it. It just wasn't enough pictures. It wasn't very detailed pictures either which some may enjoy the simpler coloring pages while I like detail.

Very Relaxing

Another eColoring Book that is an ad for the print version...As a Kindle user I resent being told I have to pay for an ebook that I cannot color, cannot download a file so I can print pages to color. There is NO link for downloading. NONE of the links at the end of this so-called color book worked for me. This is Not For Kindle Users!As far as the designs and affirmations go...nice designs, a bit too much reading, and I do not meditate. I color to relax...

This is a fabulous coloring book. If you work with affirmations or are looking to get started with affirmations, Lori has chosen some wonderful words for you to begin. Not only does she provide a full page of information about the affirmation and what makes it so powerful, but you also get to color! (Because, you know, coloring!) This was a brilliant idea, the combination of positive affirmations with the meditative act of coloring.Lori's designs are intricate and beautiful, and perfect for hours of relaxing meditative coloring. As I colored, I found myself repeated the affirmation on the page over and over to myself. It was a wonderful experience of coloring and positive affirmation meditation.If you love to color intricate designs and the power of positive mantras and affirmations, you'll be thrilled with this coloring book. Definitely not your ordinary coloring book! I was impressed with the quality of the printing and the paper weight. So much fun! Even my 9 year old had a blast coloring with me.

If an affirmation is read over and over it can become more real to a person. The affirmations in this book are a great way to focus on a goal for the week or day or month, or whatever. You don't even need to use color !! I 'colored' this page with a graphite pencil and loved how the affirmation itself stood out stronger. I colored while watching TV shows and it took my mind to a more relaxed place, as coloring books do, but it also helped me think of 'positive thoughts' and 'positive actions' (which was the affirmation I had chosen) This can be a great book for anyone wanting to remember to meditate on goals to help them 'focus' while relaxing. I want to cut this one out and frame it.

This is my first coloring book. Meditative Affirmations caught my eye because I liked the idea of reading an affirmation and then coloring the mantra embedded in an intricate pattern. I find coloring very therapeutic and relaxing. The coloring book is well printed and single sided. I don't have to worry about my markers bleeding into another design. They say adult coloring books are the new yoga, a very relaxing and meditative activity which provides a lot of the same mental benefits as practicing yoga. Lori Greenberg created the perfect designs to help ease you into a meditative state with full pages of a repeated pattern to loose yourself in as you color. I look forward to coloring my way through this book and change some old thinking patterns along the way!

This is a very well made book.The pages are sturdy and printed very nicely. The meditative phrases are appropriate for children as well as adults and my teenager even enjoyed coloring them in. The author even gives you insight into the meanings and purpose of each phrase.The pages are sturdy enough for coloring with pen or colored pencils. I look forward to owning many more of the artist's wonderful books.I could color in these for hours and really enjoy how relaxed and creative I feel afterwards

When I first got this book, and looked at the designs with the words incorporated, I wasn't so sure that I liked it. Looked a little busy to me. I decided to color the words first, so that they would be the focal point. I tore the page out because I wanted to use a marker, and I didn't want it to bleed through and mess up the page behind it. I also find turning a bigger book all different ways more difficult than the smaller square books. There are suggestions on how to think about the different affirmations, I thought that helped a lot! I chose to work on a page that has an affirmation about knowing what my body needs. It was a positive thing! I don't care for coloring the design behind the words. I find it too confusing to follow the intricate designs when they are interrupted. The quality of the book is great, as usual!

My 7 year old first grader loves the Explode the Code series. I like that the activities repeat and she does too. Looking at the books, they aren't colorful and don't seem appealing to kids, but they are!I skip around the book when needed. I love that there is a book between 3 and 4. Just what we need!

Explode the Code 3 1/2 is exactly what it says it is - more review on the material presented in #3. My grandson is autistic and needed the extra practice, so it is great for him. If your child has easily mastered Explode #3, order #4 instead of 3 1/2.As usual, Explode the Code does a great job of incrementally focusing on the many steps that help children (and adults!) crack the code of the English language.

Explode the Code is a great phonic series. I have used these with students up to 3rd grade and even some low 4th graders and the improvement I see in their reading is amazing! It's self-explanatory and easy to use.

I have been using the Explode the Code series of workbooks for years and it's an EXCELLENT series! I have six children and have been homeschooling for 17 years. Unfortunately, I only discovered this series about five years ago, so I've only been able to use it with my two youngest. I wish I could have used it for all my children. It really teaches them to think and uses picture clues to strengthen their reading comprehension. It is one of the best products that I have run across and my kids love it, too. There are no lessons or explanations necessary. You just pick it up and start learning as you go.

We have used all Explode the Cod books for Phonics and love them. My 5 year old spells so well thanks to these books. I recommend them to anyone homeschooling.

Excellent book for teaching/learning phonics. My kids find these books fun and look forward to phonics lessons. Only a few pages a day does the job. No tears learning.

My daughter finds these quick and easy to work through, simple and repetitive system of books means I can leave her to work on this independently while I work with another child and I know what she'll be working on. Would recommend these and have done so

Recently, a couple of blogs about travel and tourism that I follow, published first hand accounts of normal tourists visiting Abu Dhabi and having pretty good time. I decided to do a bit more research and 'The Abu Dhabi Travel Guide' by Rahim and Zohara Hirji was on top of Amazon search results.This is an extremely detailed book that has great coverage of any topic a potential tourist needs to know about Abu Dhabi.Topics covered:1. Brief History of Abu Dhabi in particular and United Arab Emirates (UAE) in general.2. Hotels. While Abu Dhabi is still a destination for high-flyers, and five star hotels are seemingly on every corner, it is still possible to find budget yet comfortable accommodations.3. Sightseeing and things to do. I was staggered to learn how much one can do there. Parks, museums, beaches, camel races, hot air balloons, etc. I was even surprised to learn that Abu Dhabi has a track for Formula One races.4. Do's and Don'ts, Social Etiquette. Important chapter for any tourist visiting Abu Dhabi. Respect for local sensibilities, according to the authors, is a must.5. List of basic Arabic phrases and much, much more.Overall this is a good, very detailed tourist guide on all things Abu Dhabi. I was impressed with authors' commitment to quality, demonstrated by the fact that even included their contact information in case any reader has follow-up questions or comments.Recommended.

I will be traveling to Abu Dhabi for business at the end of this fall so I have been reading numerous guides in order to prepare. This one is the best! It is packed with information that ranges from the best ways to get around, the customs on tipping, social norms and how you should behave even as a tourist and much, much, more. Not knowing what to expect this book has put my mind at ease as it is clear the author is very knowledgeable on the topic, and provides small details that go overlooked in other books. For example the guide tells that crossing your legs is a sign or rudeness, I would never have known! What great tips! I also found the section on working days and hours very interesting, as well as the part about long handshakes, moving seats as according to status and the fact that business moves very slowly. Not only was this book very helpful, it was very easy and entertaining to read, I highly recommend it!

Having lived in the UAE for some time, I was skeptical about the value of this book. But as I haven't spent too much time in Abu Dhabi and hope to visit more in the future, I figured it was worth the shot at the low price. I more than got my money's worth.The book is conveniently structured in typical travel guide style, but with a readability not always found in books of this genre. It nicely highlights the hotels, restaurants, sightseeing spots and experiences not to be missed when visiting Abu Dhabi. I most appreciated the "uture Abu Dhabi" section, highlighting the typically grandiose plans for the city, as well as the surprisingly comprehensive list of "excursions away from Abu Dhabi city". I also appreciated the many links to websites throughout the book.As with any guidebook about a region one is familiar with, I was quick to note a few inaccuracies (i.e. it never officially goes about 50 degrees, not 40, as the book suggests) and omissions (i.e. the recommended visit to Buraimi does not note the recent changes at the border, which could result in a traveler being stranded in Oman!). And in a quickly changing city like Abu Dhabi, there will always be new developments not mentioned in the book (although the "future Abu Dhabi" section tries to cover some of those). But one will find these issues in any travel guide, and the advantage of the e-book format is that the author will hopefully add updates and corrections to the book to keep it more relevant than any hard copy guidebook.Overall, I would definitely recommend this book for any visitor to Abu Dhabi, as well as any expat looking to discover new delights in the UAE.

I have to say that this is a comprehensive book and it helped a lot on recommendations for hotels, restaurants and downtime. And I was the go to guy for the best places. Not one of the places that were recommended were bad! And all of the places existed, which I sometime have a problem with.Drawbacks:1) The only drawback is that the map you have to download and check out beforehand, but that's not an issue as places are accurately described based on location and if you are there on holiday or for a week, you'll just be taking taxis and things are so close. And if you are an expat, you'll pretty much figure out the grid of the city.2) There are no pictures, but that makes it a small file size on my iPhone.3) I was the goto guy for where to go and booking because my colleagues all came to me!The book was otherwise very helpful. BTW, If you haven't been to Abu Dhabi, the place is happening right now!No brainer at the price. It was like I had a best friend telling me where to go!

These cutie patooties have a great youtube channel and promote a plant-based diet. I bought the cookbook under the assumption that it was a plant-based cookbook, and it is not. At first glance, many recipes call for eggs and various cheeses. I haven't given up on it, but I was disappointed to learn of my purchase error. I'll update my review after I spend more time with the book to determine what I can make that is, in fact, vegan at heart.

Don't spend $11+ dollars for this. There are no recies in it. You will have to buy the printed book if you want to know how to cook anything. Big booboo Kendal. A COOK NOOK should contain the recipies just like the printed version. RSPECIALLY ONE THAT COST ALMOST AS MUCH AS THE PRINTED VERSION.

I watch these guys on YouTube for plant based recipes and had to get both of their cookbooks which are both awesome and filled with yumminess. Thanks guys! (Dudes, lol) <---YouTube reference.Note: these books aren't vegan, but they're mostly vegan. Labels, why all the labels? People that want to try some amazing recipes and help themselves get into more intentional dishes will not be disappointed.

Was given this book by a lovely friend and think it is FABULOUS!!! Have cooked/made loads of dishes from it already and they were all, without exception. delicious, full of flavour and very varied. What is more, if the rest of your family are not veggie/vegan, carb avoiding or dieting you can all still enjoy a great meal together. On a more serious note - the healthy alternatives to popular cakes like Millionaire's Shortbread are not only scrumptious but they don't leave you feeling as if you have over dosed on sugar and my type 1 diabetic husband found they didn't raise his blood sugar levels either! Go out and buy it today!

I adore this cookbook. The lasagne with bechamel sauce is amazing and my kids loved the butternut squash quinoa burgers. Many of the recipes require many ingredients and a lot of time so be sure to read recipe carefully before you start. This is my all-time favorite vegetarian cookbook. The writers' zest for healthy living leaps off the page and I am planning a trip to Ireland just to eat there!

I don’t like recipe books at all but being a new vegan I had to have some sort of a guide/direction. This is so easy to follow. I appreciate the way they put this book together. You really feel like you can substitute or leave out ingredients and it would still taste fantastic. It also got me out of the typical veggie box. I’m trying new things because of this book. Really love their YouTube channel as well

Lot's of great recipes! You'll need to do some conversions from metric but if you ever watched any of their videos on Youtube you'll have a feel for some of the measurements. You don't need to be exact as long as you get the idea of what you are after. Any how it's a lovely book!

This was easily one of the best books I have ever read. This book was written over a century ago and still remains popular and insightful. Oscar Wilde’s perception of humanity is, in my opinion, spot on. Every word of this book has depth and meaning.I absolutely despise Dorian Gray, but I am sure that was Wilde’s intention. How could you like a man that is so selfish, narcissistic, and obsessed with his own youth and beauty at the cost of all others around him? Dorian truly represents the ugliest that humanity has to offer, and I am happy that he pays for his sins in a fairly poetic nature.To lighten the serious tones of this book is Lord Henry, easily my favorite character. Nearly every line he speaks is a life-quote and his character gives insight to Wilde’s own thoughts regarding the world and the people in the world. A few of my favorites:“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.”“The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. Resist it & your soul grows sick with longing for things it has forbidden itself.”“Some things are more precious because they don’t last long.”I liked this book so much that I want to re-read it immediately :).

I am getting very tired of ordering what I think are professionally prepared books and finding that they are print-on-demand works probably put together by one person that do not adhere to certain standards of the book industry.In this case, the title refers to "other writings" but it does not seem to contain any other writings. In any case, it is hard to tell because there is no table of contents. Chapters do not begin on a new page but (to save money) a new chapter will begin anywhere on the page.Sometimes there are smart quotes. Sometimes there are unformatted quotation marks.Margins are very close to the edges of the pages, again to save money.Most troubling, the original Bantam edition was about 450 pages; this edition is 190 pages.So, I would recommend you go with a name brand publisher instead of ordering this version.Why did I not give it one or two stars? Because I did not notice typos and the entire text of "The Picture of Dorian Gray" appears to be contained here, plus the front and back covers, which contain old portraits of the author, are attractive.

he Picture Of Dorian Gray starts out with the artist who is painting the title character, Dorian Gray. The artist is enthralled with Dorian’s beauty and a sense of innocence. The artist, Basil, introduces Dorian to a friend, Lord Henry, as he sits for the portrait. Some could say that Lord Henry introduces Dorian to a life of no morals and selfishness. As the lord is the first to mention that the painting will always be a picture of Dorian forever young and the real Dorian will grow old. In a way, this stimulates Dorian to announce his wish to give his soul for the reverse.This was my second time trying to read TPODG. The first time I just could not get into it. This time, I can not figure out what made me not want to read it. The story is beautiful. Oscar Wilde’s words paint a portrait of its own. It is written in this mesh of Victorian and Contemporary. So for me that makes it easier to relate to. The words are not like reading Shakespeare.I am not good at critiquing books and getting into every metaphor, or meaning behind it all. When I try that with a book I can’t enjoy it. So I just read, and from the beginning, I could tell this was going to be a new favorite author. This coming from a reader who is not a fan of many classics...but I keep trying and here I found one I loved.I bought the book of the complete works of Oscar Wilde and will be next reading The Canterville Ghost. I can not gush enough how much I loved this book. I am curious now to watch one of the movie version of Dorian Gray because I never have.

This is a ‘dark’ novel in the Gothic style, cleverly told with all the wit of Oscar Wilde. Artist Basil Hallward paints a full-size likeness of a new and admired young friend of his, a Mr. Dorian Gray. Amidst a flurry of clever, witty, philosophical repartee ongoing between Gray and (visitor to Hallward’s studio) Lord Henry Wotton, Dorian wistfully wishes to stay young and let his portrait age: “…it were I who was to be always young and the picture that was to grow old! For that for that—I would give everything! Yes, there is nothing in the whole world I would not give! I would give my soul for that!” This becomes his ‘curse’.The novel is full of the hedonist thoughts of Lord Henry which corrupt Gray to a life of debauchery. Wilde is quoted as saying, “Basil Hallward is what I think I am: Lord Henry is what the world thinks of me: Dorian is what I would like to be—in other ages, perhaps.”And, so this read will give, more than most novels, a glimpse at its author. This is a short and easily readable novel that acts as a platform to carry some serious philosophical opinions and observations of Lord Henry (Wilde?) - some of which are surely out of date in the 21st century. Here is an interesting musing from Lord Henry…“Modern morality consists in accepting the standard of one’s age. I consider that for any man of culture to accept the standard of his age is a form of the grossest immorality.” This read will illustrate that misogyny and anti-Semitism were a large part of the ‘standard’ of one’s age’ in ~1890 - so be willing to accept (hold your nose at) some of the author's observations and opinions, expressed through Lord Henry. But, even with its “warts”, it is a literary masterpiece and well worth a read!

I have owned this book for over ten years but never got around to reading it until just lately. I'm 48 and have been a Christian for 44 years and I have been deceived,tempted and accused by satan for most of my life and agreed with most everything he has led me to believe. What has freed me is the Truth of God's Word and discovering who I am in Christ, and gut wrenching confession and denouncement of the sins that have kept me in bondage. I strongly urge every Christian to read this book.

Ever since adolescence I have struggled with lustful thoughts and pornography. I knew these things were wrong and would confess these but it would always end up in a cycle of sinning, repenting, sinning again and feeling defeated and condemned. Mr Anderson explains in this book our identity, position and authority in Christ. If we submit to God we have authority over the enemy and can command him to leave us. For the past 5 years I have struggled with fatigue and realised that the enemy could be behind this. Ever since reading this book I have been set free from both the lustful thoughts and fatigue and know how to deal with these should they come back. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

I purchased this for my daughter when she told me she was having trouble with her thoughts. I read the original Bondage Breaker book and it helped me tremendously. Until I read this book, I thought I was losing my mind. It helped me to realize what I was experiencing was spiritual warfare. At the time, I was a new Christian and was terrified I was evil because of the thoughts swirling in my mind. This book helped me to realize that not every thought we have is our own. Some are put there by the world and some are put there by Satan. Unforgiveness in our lives can lead to spiritual bondage. I have not read the youth edition but trusted these authors enough to purchase it for my 13 year old daughter.

If you are looking for deliverance in your Christian walk this is the book. If you are wanting a victorious walk in your Christian life this is the book. The moment I placed this book in my hand I felt the Lord's might anointing flowing from this book. Read it, it will change your life because Jesus is the Bondage Breaker!!!

I've probably bought ten copies of Dr. Anderson's books, this and a few others. I kept giving them away. If you've ever had any supernatural encounters. or are curious about the spiritual realm, read books such as these, from a Christian perspective- do NOT go to occult sources!! Dr. Anderson is very well informed, and reassuring in his knowledge.

I have a friend who has a 50 year old son who she thinks has demons but can’t think of a way to destroy them. He grew up a Christian but has been studying eastern mysticism. They live in different states. I hope she reads this and can get him help. It’s a good read for anyone. I was especially interested in the story of the woman with MS who really had demons.

Best study ever! This enables people to get past their hangups & bondages in order to gain intimacy with Christ. It grows us closer in understanding & truth & breaking of the bondages holding us back from being the powerful Christian God calls us all to be! Such revelation occurring in our small group! A stunning book photo -wise. Maybe the best bird photo collection I've ever seen, and I'm old enough to have seen almost everything (I had a photography business many years ago). I wonder whether the reviewer who gave 3 stars based upon the photographs not being well printed could have gotten a bad copy, somehow. The photos in mine are fabulous. No sign of anything less than that. Unfortunately the book is so remarkable that someone stole it before I could send it to a friend who loves owls and envies us the 2 great horned owls that are nearly always present on our property. As an aside, it would be wonderful to have more text, but there is quite a bit, and this is a photography book -- hard to have photos like these and as much text as you'd like. It is already quite a heavy book. Regarding the text, I am tempted to say how my experiences of great horned owls differ in some respects from the text about them. It would be fun to tell readers that these characters have maybe 30 -- maybe more -- different sounds they can make including prolonged barking (medium to large size dog, and we know it isn't a dog only because it is overhead), and also a perfect ear-splitting, almost terrifying, reproduction of the Queen Elizabeth's horn as it backs out of its berth in the New York City harbour. Right overhead, at 4 a.m., in pitch black darkness. (I didn't know I was so close to their tree). Just astounding.

An absolutely beautiful book. Many, many extraordinary photographs in full color, showing every subspecies (I guess) covered, from fledglings to full-grown adults, and in a wide variety of actions and attitudes. The organization is very helpful, too, done by geographical areas around the world. Accompanying texts are well written and informative, without being pedantic or too technical for the layperson. I've never seen a live owl where I live, but there must be some around somewhere in the area. Until I see one, this book is irresistible, one to be read and looked at, savored, slowly. My thanks to the authors and to Yale University Press.

Beautiful images only con is 2 of the 2 page spread images the owl faces are in the binding you have to really push the pages down to see the images fully would have been better as a pullout but otherwise i definitely would recommend this book to anyone who likes owls or nature photography lots of beautiful owls some I've never seen before most are full page size images

Beautiful illustrations; illuminating text.

As a graphic artist and 30 year shutterbug I was very disappointed in the quality of the photos in this book. I have several bookshelves full and far better photo/coffee table style books than this. The content is also lacking. We have had barred owls by us for a decade, I'd hoped to learn something more about them but the content was fleeting at best, 1 page, that was it. My local wildlife experts at our botanical gardens offered more info.The book arrived damaged as well, dust jacket was torn in multiple places including down the spine bilaterally. The book cover itself underneath had gouges in it under the dust cover. This is not a quality book. I paid for my item, it was not given freely for a review. I'll be returning it.

I like owls, and the photos in this book did not disappoint me. I am still reading the texts, but as the photos are my main interest, I quickly stop reading, and browse the photos.I once met three huge owls in a forest, one parent and two young ones. The parent dived down on me to check me out, but I did not move, and the owl flew within a foot of my face, and back to the young ones. The parent was perhaps 50cm tall, huge talons, and a beak that looked big, even in that flat face. The flying was soundless, just a silent whoosh as it passed my face. I am happy I was not considered being a pray, nor a threat.The book is strongly recommended.

This book contains fabulous photos and detailed descriptions of a most captivating animal. Highly recommended and well-worth the price (approx $26)

A gift for my husband, the owl lover! This book is beautiful full of pictures and information! So much fun to pick up anytime!
