The idea of the book is wonderful and teaching kindness - especially in today's world - os so needed. However there is enforcement of stereotypic gender roles that seems to counteract the spirit of generosity that we are trying to teach in using this book. Apparently mom's do housework and dad's nap so it is important to help mom and be quiet for dad. I do not think this really works as an example of kindness.

My grandson loves this book because he loves dragons! I like it because it teaches kindness. I have purchased several of these dragon books and they are all excellent!

Kind of dumb stories. Didn’t help my kid at all.

This book was exciting to find but I should have read the reviews before purchasing. There is only one review that gives a valid reason for the book not being a good educational tool and I would have listened to that but I was so excited to find this series because the titles hint at some great discussions we should all be having with our children like self control and the idea that people should be able to listen to children who say "no" when they need autonomy (I was way off on my assumption of that one). I shouldn't have judged the book by its title. The "traditional" gender roles and the continually calling out binary genders and the fact that 98% of the people in the books have white skin is just the beginning of the issues I take with the way this is written. I took a label maker to mine in order to use it because I really do like the baseline idea and I paid way too much for it to just throw it away. This book in particular uses good/bad to describe actions and choices. I don't like using those "either, or" idea with children because it gives them the idea that they can be either good or bad...not a mixture of human struggles and urges that they need to learn about. Putting a moral label on things that children choose to do is not helpful to children, it' shaming. We need to educate children about impulses being a human experience and talk about controlling urges, not telling them that "bad things are bad and good things are good." I straight up taped one whole problematic page together to make it go away- the page that tells children that they need to smile at everyone they see and say "HI!" to them like we all need to trust every stranger we ever meet and always act happy to other people. That's just not true. If a child is having a sad day they need permission to have those feelings and get through them with our help. I found the moral messages attached to the writing to be scary and intimidating for kids and not helpful as we learn about what it is to be kind so I just wrote over over half of it. Good luck with yours if you purchase. Teaching kids just to "be good" for the sake of just being good and not bad is not enough. And, yes, at the end I hardly had to correct anything because the author finally got around to using the word "kind" instead of "nice" (acting "nice" is something that people use to manipulate...kindness is something that comes from within).

The stories were well written. I even solved a couple tales. The characters were individual while the stories all involved one main character. I really liked that the stories continued on, while each a different mystery, the characters mostly remained the same. TA TA

If you are looking for a nice read with good characters this is a good read. I wish the author& editors had paid more attention to continuity from one "book" to the next. Changing reasons for things to happen when you are writing a box set and everything is interconnected makes it confusing for the reader.

I had low expectations given the ''cozy mystery' description and indeed there were several glaring errors of fact. The most noticeable being a killing using cyanide from apple seeds in Georgia the Peach tree state. Peach pits being one of the richest natural sources of cyanide. Apple seeds are comparatively Harmless. Still I read the whole series and considered buying another book by the same author.

Each book is a stand alone although the main characters continue through the series. The plots are believable and the "romance" is a nice touch but hardly overwhelms the mystery. This is the best value on Amazon if you like cozy mysteries.

A delightful set of cozy stories about Felicity and her friends. Each story has a murder which begs to be solved.I love this set. Usually, I read one and then read a notable book like a Hemingway, and then read another Cozy.

Nice cozy collection of stories of Felicity and her friends. Spans time and several murders and adventures.There were mis-used word sprinkled here and there that were distracting or confusing. A nice small townsetting in Georgia.

I loved this series.Every one of these books were awesome. Each character was so well written.,it was like I knew then. I loved the town and everything about this series.

I really enjoyed this series. Wonderful characters and great stories all. Almost made give some thought to visiting this wonderful little shop. Keep them coming. 😀
