I had attempted at one point to read a biochemistry text and it was slow going. I could not see the forrest for the trees, i.e., I tended to get lost in the detail and not get the big picture. I have almost read this book, annotated it heavily, and it is giving me the big picture. Now that I see the forrest, perhaps I can have a look at the trees. As an RN, I had a basic understanding of biology. I had also read a basic college level chemistry text. One might want to read Chemistry for Dummies first if you don't have that, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary. One of the things that I like about this book is that it takes away the mystique that only scientists, doctors, etc. can understand biochemistry. You have to work at it hard, but you can get it.

This book was not targeted towards anything healthcare related & did not touch on much of what we were focusing on. It was not worth my purchase & was returned.

I did not find this book helpful at all, it was like purchasing anther BioChem textbook. I've used books like these before for other subjects (Statistics for example) and found them to be much more useful. I expect these books to have helpful insight on how to learn these concepts, or tricks or hints to help with the learning. I found none of the above and returned the book. Youtube Kahn Academy videos (and other similar) for free were much more helpful.

This book is a excellent review of concepts before taking a biochem class, touching broadly on all biochem subjects, not going into great detail. This will probably help the learner to absorb more when taking the actual biochem class. I enjoyed the chemical structures included and real life examples which made the material relatable. I would suggest reading this book before taking a biochem class, but do NOT use as supplement when taking the class.

I am interested in organic chemistry with a biochemistry emphasis. I gave this book five stars. It was detailed enough to give me clues about where I wanted to study next, but not so detailed that I couldn't comprehend what was there. But we warned, biochemistry is not for dummies.

Quality was great.Product was great.Book was phenomenal.Saved me in biochem that semester. Highly recommend for anyone taking a college level bio chemistry course.

This is a good review of biochemistry. The only drawback is that many of the figures are clipped because of the formatting.

This book is the basis for his next book, Sell or be Sold. I didn't realize it and bought the audio version of that book first. It was great and so I decided to buy the kindle version of this one. The content in this one is all in Sell or be Sold. I don't mind though because I like to read and listen to good books to make sure the info sticks. He's a crazy guy, a monster salesperson and a worthwhile mentor for anyone looking to go to the next level. If you really want to get the real Grant Cardone, listen to his audiobooks. He narrates his own stuff and goes completely off the reservation in some parts. Completely worth it! I'm sold.

This book was incredible. It contained the most important key concepts about sales that I’ve ever read. Many were new, some I already knew, and others I knew to be true but never isolated them to assign them their proper importance. I intend to use the data of this book not only to sell products, but also to secure a great job, and most importantly, to convince the love of my life that I am the right guy for her!

I thought I was a professional salesman but now I know I am after reading this book and doing the things it says to do. My sales over the internet have increased more than I expected week to week. I am building my collection of quilting books and must say that I have not purchased a book yet where I have loved every one of the quilts and projects in the entire book. This book by Edyta Sitar is the exception. I love every one of the quilts in this book and have added each one to my "quilts to make" bucket list! I love the pattern mix of piecing and applique in the quilts. I've never been a big fan of batiks but the use of batiks in Edyta's book inspires me to use some! The full color section illustrating the techniques used in making these quilts is very clear and guides you through step by step. I have already seen some techniques that were new to me and that I am anxious to try. I was very happy to have purchased this book and would happily have given it 10 stars!

I would give this book five stars because I love Edyta and her beautiful color choices. However, I have been trying to piece the eight pointed star scrappy diamonds and I cannot get the seams to match up, and the diamonds keep coming out backwards. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I feel like the instructions for the scrappy eight pointed stars are not clear enough. There needs to be more directions here to lead to better results the first time. I am an intermediate quilter.

Ms. Sitar has a beautiful talent in her use of fabric, color and design for her quilts! They are so very pleasing to the eye! I have this book on my coffee table where I can pick it up and view it as often as I please, and...in preparation for my next quilt! I just can't decide which one to go with...but I think it will be the Egg Cartoon Quilt, as I am partial to "checkerboards!" I plan to use a dark grey or black as the color really pops in this quilt! My other favorite, because it doesn't look too challenging, is the Cobblestones Quilt. I recommend it to all Quilt lovers!

Another great offering from Edyta Sitar! I want to make a lot of the quilts in this book, but a lot of them have small pieces. That's okay though-- even if I never make one of those, there's other quilts in the book that are a little more doable for me at this stage in my quilting life. The photography is fantastic! I absolutely love the scenery and backgrounds and settings in the photos. Edyta has star quality in her quilt designs. She has a fabulous knack for using traditional patterns with modern fabrics. Her designs have a wonderful sense of rhythm, flow and balance. This would be a great book for every quilter's collection!

I really love Edyta Sitar patterns. Her quilts have a beautiful scrappy look in a color palette that is always spectacular. It also has many wonderful pictures and extremely simple and concise instructions that are easy to follow. If you enjoy making quilts like I do, you will absolutely love this book. Happy quilting!

Scrappy Fireworks Quilts...The book is great and everything I looked for. I would buy other books by this author. A great book for utilizing lots of scraps of fabric.
