I have four different sets of these and I love them. I tucked one into each Christmas gift I gave and now I do that with other gifts or just tuck one into a pocket.

I now have my fourth set of Christian coloring cards by this publisher and each one is better than the last. I especially appreciate this set of 44 cards which are based on verses from the Psalms. The cards in this set are inspired by the coloring pages in their previous coloring book “The Psalms in Color”. While the cards are similar to the book, the designs have been reduced, cropped, and/or reworked to fit the new format of a smaller card. The verses are all from the Psalms and cites are also listed.I always go to the Psalms when I need to be reminded that I am to praise God at all times. The Psalmist has expressed both happiness and sadness and still praises God. I can find both comfort and joy in reading through the book. One of my favorites verses was the basis for the late Andraé Crouch's song, “Bless the Lord, Oh my Soul”. It is a tune that I grew up with and which runs through my mind throughout the day. While I cannot find translation information on the cards, the coloring book from which they are derived listed the following Bible translations used for the verses are: The Holy Bible NIV, the Holy Bible New Living Translation, the New King James Version and The Holy Bible English Standard Version. The cards are 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches. Sixteen of the cards are in horizontal format and the rest are vertical. The color is very light ivory (almost a warm white), the texture is slightly smooth on the design side and extremely smooth (probably with a coating) on the reverse blank side. They are a great size for on the go.While I have colored and given away many cards from the first two sets by the publisher, and plan to do so with my last set as well, the first set of these cards will be for me. After coloring it, I want to carry one around with me daily throughout the month to remind myself to Praise God in All things. I will pick up an additional set to color for friends and family. The designs are printed fairly small and I found that using my ultra-fine markers, smaller nib gel pens, and hard lead coloring pencils worked the best for me. Some of the cards have very tiny areas to color but that is to be expected with such a small coloring area.As with the previous sets, none of my various coloring medium bled through this paper. That includes alcohol-based markers, water-based markers, India ink pens, and gel pens. It is a great quality card stock and the cards are well made and printed on it.My coloring pencils worked well but there wasn't really enough surface to do much with blending; however, when I tested them, both oil and wax based pencils blended well using a pencil style blending stick.

I love to color but get overwhelmed with the large size of coloring pages. These little cards allow me to finish coloring in just about 30 minutes. It's perfect for a little relaxation time. Meditating on the Scripture while coloring provides an extra benefit and comfort. I laminate them after coloring and give to others in different ways. If I'm at Starbuck's drive thru and pay for the person behind me, I ask the cashier to hand one of these to them as well. I put them in my co-workers' mailboxes if they're having a rough day. I leave them under my retired husband's thermos on his bedside so when he wakes up to drink his cold orange juice, he has a Psalm to meditate on. I have given the unopened box with a set of gel pens for gifts. There are so many ways to spread a bit of joy around with these cards!

This is my 3rd and final review of "Psalms to Color". I wrote a review earlier tonight, but after trying to color 2 more cards, I have to rate this all over again. I had purchased "Proverbs to Color" and "Colorful Blessings" and have enjoyed coloring them and sending them with my hand made cards. But PSALMS TO COLOR have SUCH A GLOSSY SURFACE that so far, I've torn up and threw away 5 of them! The 2 I kept I am not happy with. I seem to be the only one with this problem, as I see all the 5-star reviews. The cards are very nice, and I love the verses, but for me, they are too glossy to color! My colored pencils look faded as I apply them, no matter how many times I color over them. And my fine-line markers don't go on well. But the gel markers are the very worst!! They do not at all go on well, and worse than that, they don't dry, and they SMEAR horribly!! When I color, if I use a gel pen, I put the picture aside for 15 minutes and work on another one. I did that with one of the "Psalms to Color" cards tonight-I worked on other coloring for at least 20 minutes, and when I started to color more on the original card, it smeared all over the card!! That was torn up and thrown away! There is just too much gloss on the cards. I'm not a novice in adult coloring, having loved this activity for 2 years. I have never had so many problems before. I just won't color these Psalms anymore, because it is not a stress release at all, and I won't send smeared up cards to people I love. Maybe I got a bad batch. Or if any of you have any suggestions on what kind of coloring equipment to use, please let me know. As I said, the other 2 products from this company have been delightful, but not this product. I hope and pray the company doesn't add more gloss to their other products. I'll be apprehensive in buying anything from Christian Art Gifts again in case they DID add more gloss. That's a shame, because I really loved the first 2 purchases I made. Thank you.

I have recently entered the world of adult coloring, and am thoroughly enjoying the peace of mind it brings. I have colored for 3-4 hrs straight and not realizing the time had slipped away. I am a calligrapher and coloring these small hand held cards can be challenging to color at times. I am using gel pens with glitter...the results are gorgeous. I definitely am puttting these on my list as stocking stuffers to my coloring entourage. Once you frame them, they can be given as gifts to family, friends and neighbors. They are small enough to fit on a night stand, dresser or end table. Once they are colored it's hard to not to give them away...but the scripture on the card may be exactly what someone needs. Pass them on, it just maybe a blessing and make someone's day. It did mine in just coloring them.
